Gold Rabbit Round Patch on Blue

Greetings, I am new to the forum and excited to learn about my collection and things I want to collect. My interest has been sparked by my grandfather’s service with the 3rd division, 30th infantry regiment of WW1. I will post some info about him soon. I especially think members will like the German prisoner’s epaulet he brought back as a trophy. 
 

I inherited a collection of patches and pins in a large shoebox. The hundreds of items were WW1 and WW2. This patch is hard for me to identify. It was suggested to me that it was from a hunting club, but I was wondering if it was European, because of the rabbit characteristics? Does this have military affiliation?  Thanks for your time.
