This is the story of George "Judge" Knott, private, Company G, 360th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division, and how he experienced the war. Based upon Knott's letters home, unit history, archives and official records, the author, Knott's granddaughter, has pieced together a nice narrative of Knott's service. It includes references to Knott's two brothers and two cousins who were in the service also. One of the Knott cousins, Carlton Knott, was killed while serving with the Lost Battalion in October 1918.

The book is recommended for those who want to read about a "family" at war. Serious students of the war won't find anything new here, but it will appeal to those who like to read memoirs and biographies of AEF soldiers.

Paperback, 188 pages, available from the author.

Respectfully,

Pete Belmonte
