WorldWarPatches Posted August 6, 2017 #1 Posted August 6, 2017 I wanted to share this amazing Quartermaster collection before parting it out. It will take a few days to post it. Today I'll post about 1/3 of it.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted August 6, 2017 #8 Posted August 6, 2017 Very nice!!! I wonder if there is any USMC QM stuff in the rest of the collection at all?
tredhed2 Posted August 6, 2017 #9 Posted August 6, 2017 Some news. A chevron expert reported to me, re: post #2 ..."Of the eight 10-inch-wide 1872-pattern chevrons shown, one (Post QM Sgt.) appears to be authentic. The rest are strictly bogus. Fake blue fields with the QM quill and key have been attached to authentic bars (stripes) for various branches of the service. None of those ranks existed"..... They are the chevrons marked "unofficial".

Major Z Posted August 6, 2017 #11 Posted August 6, 2017 I collect strictly QM items. How will you be selling these items? I will not ask for a private sale but I'm just wondering how to be prepared. Did this collection belong to David Olson by chance? Thanks.
WorldWarPatches Posted August 6, 2017 Author #17 Posted August 6, 2017 Part 2, back later with part 3
