Plant#4 Posted February 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 11, 2014 There are lots of things that were sacrificed for the war effort, for instance, everybody knows about "Lucky Strike Goes to War" all about then giving up the green ink for the effort. Everybody wanted to do their part, but people still needed things, every day things, things to make their day seem like normal, that we weren't in a global struggle for our very way of life. Folks were proud and they wanted to show that they were doing their part, every where. Here is one of my prized possessions not because it is fancy or the best it could be, but for what it represents, sacrifice, can do attitude, the will to win. Also they did not toss it out the day a better one was made after the war was over. This was called WarAlarm, after all, you needed it to go do your midnight shift work at the Bomber Plant
Plant#4 Posted February 11, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted February 11, 2014 Now for the clock, the case is made of pressed paper! Also at the bottom you can see that it is fixed price, because there is a war on you know!
