Brian Keith Posted December 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2007 All are straight pin back, except the earrings, they are screw back. Upper left is marked Sterling vertically on the back. Upper right badge is marked Sterling horizontally on the back. Lower left is a non pierced example and is some what "flatter" than the other two full size badges, it is marked Sterling horizontally on the back. The sweetheart is 1 inch wide, marked Sterling and made by NS Meyer. The earrings are 3/4 of an inch wide and are highly detailed, marked sterling. None of these examples are "Vet ID'd", but I've had them all probably over 15 years. I'm pretty sure they all date prior to 1946. BKW
camopara Posted December 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2007 Brian, Your wings are all of WW2 vintage. The most common are the top two. Most glider wings are found just with the sterling mark either in a vertical or hoizontal position. US made, maker marked glider wings can be difficult to find.
