Hi John,

 

The Aircrew wings look like a nice graduation set but I have a suspicion the Luxenberg Navigator wings are cast. Can you provide some better pics?

Here are a couple of more pics. Thanks for the info. Please let me know more. Anything that helps me spot a bad wing is good advise.

Hi John,

 

The things that put me off are;

 

1) the reverse of the wings have a smooth but waxy appearance and maybe some small pockmarking,

2) the maker and sterling marks look weak, not crisp

3) the hinge end of the main pin does not appear (to me) to be typical for Luxenberg (what angle does the pin open to),

4) the size of oversized diameter of the navigator device and, after seeing the side shot in post #3,

4) the application of the navigator device.

 

Please wait for the opinions of others with more experience though!
