I ran across this video while perusing a website that frankly, I don't frequent. It's a great feel-good story, but the story itself is a little odd, and his decorations make no sense no matter which way you look at them. Can anyone make sense of it? Would you take the story as gospel? I don't think it's some sort of "fake" account, but, it's interesting to consider this case.

Well, it is definately a "feel good" war story. However, let the old guy have his memories. True or not, who knows. It is just a harmless little story to confirm our humanity.......or to cover up his guilt for shooting unarmed german prisoners. Perhaps the trumpet was the last sound they heard? Just wondering?
