Misfit 45 Posted July 11, 2010 #1 Posted July 11, 2010 Hello Folks, I have a vintage pack of Camel cigarettes and am wondering if they are like those supplied to the troops during WWII. The pack size is 2 3/4" X 2" There are no government "Tax Exempt" stamps which is one reason I suspect not. Here's the pics. Marv

Marv Hi Marv, great pack of cigarettes, love the ' compliments of GMC ' connection paper slip inside thge pack. Looks WWII to me as it doesn't have any silver foil under the Camel wrap it has the wartime economy paper instead. I would add it to my collection if I had discovered it, but possibly more of an home front item than supplied to fighting troops. Cheers Lewis
OD MAN Posted July 12, 2010 #3 Posted July 12, 2010 Could this have been something given out at an officers club or recreation area for GIs? Some companies, like Coca Cola, donated overseas and may be this is an example. :dunno:
