Hellcat Posted November 21, 2009 #1 Posted November 21, 2009 Unknown USAF sleeve patch. It appears to be a training school patch(????) judging by the date and class number at the top(79-07), but for what. Also note the US and Norwegian flags embroidered at the bottom right edge of the patch---training class with both American and Norwegian pilots?? Any info appreciated. Thanks Mike Clicking on the pic will allow larger view of patch

The Site to see on the subject is here (although, I didn't see your patch) http://www.usafupt.com/default.htm -Ski

Hellcat Posted November 21, 2009 Author #4 Posted November 21, 2009 I received a shoe box full of patches and two flight suits of a pilot "Rich Watts", many years ago. The flights suits are from when he was in flight school, as he has the rank of 2nd Lt. In the box of patches, of which there must be 30(estimate) different patches(with many duplicates, probably 100+ patches total) that basically document some of his flying history, as he eventually obtained the rank of major and senior aircrew wings. I dont know anything about him, other than what I can judge from the different patches in the box . It appears he flew on B-52's and at some point in his career he was an instructor.
