gwb123 Posted November 6, 2009 #1 Posted November 6, 2009 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33506583/ns/wo...20_years_later/ MSNBC is running a series of articles on the Cold War and the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. I am sure this place will have some nostalgia for someone here. These places were once secret... sort of. I am sure the locals who helped build it knew it was there, even if they did not know what was going on inside. It will be interesting to see what other Cold War sites become open to public viewing. Teamski Posted November 6, 2009 #2 Posted November 6, 2009 I don't even remember seeing it when I was stationed there, hehehe..... I was too busy looking for WWII airfields. -Ski
jjdevi1 Posted November 6, 2009 #3 Posted November 6, 2009 Ski, When were you at Molesworth? I was there from 2000-2003. Lived right on Ermine Street outside of Alconbury. Make the right out of Alconbury, go down the hill, and our house was on the left with the big pine tree out in front. We dumped a ton of dough into those Glickem sites. John
