nguoi tien su Posted August 21, 2009 #1 Posted August 21, 2009 Good day ! I was doing some cleaning in the collection, when I dug out this Experimental Navigational Chart Holder (Type ACIS/NCH-3). I have bought that one along with a grouping of a 4th ACS navigator who was in Vietnam in 1967/1968. I guess this has nothing to do with the year the Nav spent in Vietnam. He must either have used it during his training or his first years in the USAF. This particuliar chart holder looks complete :
nguoi tien su Posted August 21, 2009 Author #2 Posted August 21, 2009 The chart holder handbook is 1951 dated.
nguoi tien su Posted August 21, 2009 Author #3 Posted August 21, 2009 The chart holder itself displays a USA map.
nguoi tien su Posted August 21, 2009 Author #5 Posted August 21, 2009 And its bag. Obviously, it is for navigation purpose! But is it specific to some kind of planes ? What was use during the VN war? Thanks ! NTS
PBR mk2 Posted December 22, 2025 #6 Posted December 22, 2025 I have the same holder and related items too. Mine has not ConUs maps but Korea ones. Greetings PBR
