The timeframe is spring 1972, and the unit was C-Troop/16th Cav. Those pictured are (l-r)Tim Brennan now of Atlanta, Hugh Mills of Kansas City, and yours truly, Mike King (Lila's dad) of Peachtree City, Ga.

Funny thing that the crew chose to name their helo in french.

But the correct spelling would have been Le Disciple de la Paix.

Not really odd...many if not most educated Vietnamese spoke French, but relatively few spoke English. If looked at as a message to the Vietnamese encountered in combat, it's even funnier.
