KevinBeyer Posted August 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2007 Hello, All, A fellow collector has provided an image of a badge for a Veterans' Organization that is unknown to me. Does anyone have any information they can provide regarding the United Veterans of the Republic? The depiction of the airplane suggests that this organization was formed post-WWI. Was it formed by the merging of several other organizations as the word "United" suggests? This membership badge is listed in Bishop & Elliot's American Society Medals but they, too, have no information on this Veterans' Organization. The B&E example is marked 853 suggesting that this organization had at least that many members. Any assistance with information would be greatly appreciated. KevinBeyer Posted October 14, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted October 14, 2007 I have recently added an example of this membership badge to my collection. It is numbered "466" on the back. So, from the two examples depicted, it appears that "853" is the highest number. Did this group reach 1000? Can anyone demonstrate a number higher than this?
