Airborne-Hunter Posted November 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2019 A friend of mine found this pack and I initially wrote it off as a Span Am pack, but then I looked at the straps on the back. I have never seen those before. Looks like M1907 suspenders. Has anyone seen anything like this? What is this?

US Victory Museum Posted November 4, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 4, 2019 The straps were made from components of the M1903 Mills suspenders. The sack looks like a cut-down blanket bag. Regardless, this is not something that was ever issued for use by US armed forces. It looks like something assembled and sold by surplus dealers like Van Der Camp or Bannermans for the commercial market as a children's school book bag, or something similar.
