I Hate Moths Posted August 31, 2019 Author #2 Posted August 31, 2019 A documentary based on the 33rd armored regiment route from Normandy to Germany. It was created by the Grandson of Sgt. Louis “Louch” Baczewski. Lou was a tank driver with D company. He was one of a very few that went the distance, 5 Campaigns. For many years i have been researching the artifacts and history of Captain Thomas W Morrison. He was the Commander of B company 33rd armored regiment. This documentary will highlight the story of all of those brave men. http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/116842-3rd-armored-tank-commanders-letters-and-more/
pararaftanr2 Posted August 31, 2019 #3 Posted August 31, 2019 Looks interesting, but the trailer is two years old. Any idea if they ever completed the documentary, and if so, if it will be released to view?
I Hate Moths Posted August 31, 2019 Author #4 Posted August 31, 2019 The film was shown at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase back in July. I messaged Lou on Facebook and he tells me that it should be released in early November. https://www.facebook.com/lousride/
I Hate Moths Posted September 1, 2019 Author #5 Posted September 1, 2019 Here is an excerpt from a v-mail where Captain Morrison suggests to Pauline that they go on vacation and follow the route of the 33rd regiment.
