It is a Concealed Carry Permit for a member of the OSS. Note the heading: Headquarters Detachment 2677th Regiment OSS (Provisional). This captain served in Italy. Anybody know what CMP stands for after his service number? He was a Captain in the Military Police, is that what it means? Comments welcome thanks for looking. Keep in mind that Army officers assigned to the OSS were recruited from a variety of branches. Their duties may have had nothing to do with the branch assignment though....
