présentaion insignias are with the price in french Francs.

They are all original on the carboard.

In an earlier thread I posted a photo of a WWI trench lighter that I got in France with an EGA design similar to yours:

Fred,

Very interesting display!   I have some questions...

-Any information or speculation as to a makes; marks on any of the pieces?  \

-Wondering if any of these insignia may have been imported or do you feel all French made?

-Could you post a close-up photograph of the front and back (off the board) larger enlisted version hat EGA?

Thanks for posting!

Mike

Fred,

Thanks for posting detailed shots.  This sheds some pretty substantial light on the potential that this version is French made.  There are quite a number of this WW1 era version of enlisted service cap that are just slightly different (what could be considered die variation).  I have seen this one before, globe slightly misshapen, details not very crisp, and non symmetrical wings.

Can you post a photo of the rear and post of the EGA with the EGA removed from the board?

The 4 pointed nut and smaller washer is identical to one that came on an officer's hat EGA device (the one that matches the collar device you have shown) that I picked up out of France.

Mike
