thecandyman0838 Posted September 24, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2016 I recently acquired this World War two aviator's kit bag and was wondering what the numbers on the bag could tell me about the original owner's service. The bag belonged to a 2nd lieutenant named Marion S. Myers or Myres ( It is spelt two ways on the bag) I used http://www.wwii-enlistment.com/ and searched both names and found two Marion S. Myers, but there was no information on rank or unit. I did a google search on Marion S. Myers and found a link to an obituary for a man whose name matched and it said that he served in the Air Corps as a pilot during the war but that was all the information I could gather from that. Is there any other online sources I could use to identify the original owner and do the numbers on the bag tell anything about his unit, or were he served? Some of the writing is- F/0 t- 128515 H?4-19AH?42 2nd LT. 0-20?30942 B-2414 J
