Capt.Confederacy Posted July 10, 2015 #1 Posted July 10, 2015 Did the Marines ever use as sleeve insignia black felt stripes on a red felt background? I just won a chevron auction, and one of the lot is just like that. Also it measures 3.5 inches wide.
patrick_usmc Posted July 10, 2015 #3 Posted July 10, 2015 Could it be dark green? A photo would help.
Capt.Confederacy Posted July 10, 2015 Author #4 Posted July 10, 2015 The stripes look black to me. I will try to post some pix of it tonight.
Capt.Confederacy Posted July 10, 2015 Author #5 Posted July 10, 2015 I'm away from my camera for the moment, but here's a picture of the chevron auction that I won that has the chevron in question in it. It's in the second row almost at the left.
lamarhooten Posted July 11, 2015 #7 Posted July 11, 2015 CCC(+) or Civil Air Patrol(-) if green in color. Could be a school type if not. Some of the others look to be ROTC school types.
Capt.Confederacy Posted July 12, 2015 Author #8 Posted July 12, 2015 Thanks for the replies. There does not seem to be any green at all so I am guessing ROTC. Thanks again.
