The pith helmet looks good as does the EGA but those markings look US Army to me. I own a USMC contract 1942 dated fiber helmet made by the same contractor and it's marked the way the Marine Corps specified: contractor name / Nom contract prefix and contract number / date

This one has a wartime US Navy contract number. Also....FYI...all Marine Corps pith helmets were a distinctive tan color. The green and beige colored ones are either Army or Navy.
