History Pickers Posted August 18, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2011 Hi! New guy here -1st post. Anyone have a clue as to who / what group this leather patch might belong to? It's about 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 inches and looks to be a jacket patch. Thanks! Tim
2Dogs Posted August 18, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2011 The A D stands for Air Depot. The H would be for the Air Field.
History Pickers Posted August 18, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted August 18, 2011 The A D stands for Air Depot. The H would be for the Air Field. Thank you 2Dogs. This patch was in a grouping of pre WW2 Hawaiian items (patches, DUI, etc...) Could possibly be Hawaiian Air Depot or Hickam maybe?
Sabrejet Posted August 18, 2011 Share #4 Posted August 18, 2011 Is the design a decal...or painted directly onto the patch? Sabrejet
History Pickers Posted August 18, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted August 18, 2011 Is the design a decal...or painted directly onto the patch? Sabrejet  I'm pretty sure it's a decal - the lines and edges appear too straight and detailed to have been painted.

Tim Hello, I would venture to say ,although I've never seen one to confirm it, that your patch as mentioned is most likely for either Hawaii or Hickam Air Depot, especially it coming in with other things from that area , I will check around and see if I can find a photo/s showing the design and get back with you if I find anything possitive. Nice patch, thanks for sharing ! Johnny
