August 12, 20232 yr #1 Hi there, Just found my brand-new alpha industries bomberjack that I brought ages ago in a military shop. Nowadays the label is on the inside of the back..,by this one strangely is inside of the pocket??? And I don't see any Alpha logo on the wind flap. I know I've payed around $100/110 way back. I'd also never worn if,because it was summer back then and I totally forgot about it. Is this a real alpha industries jacket?,anyone might know which year it was produced?? Thanks in advance
August 12, 20232 yr #2 Alpha Industries is a clothing maker in Knoxville, TN that specializes in making commercial copies of military style apparel. So yes, it is a real Alpha Industries jacket, but no, it is not a real military issue jacket. It is a "knock off".
August 13, 20232 yr #3 Alpha Industries also produces for the military, and I believe their commercial line is the same as their military production but differs in labels. The black tags and the 3 black lines on the nomenclature tag indicates this jacket is for the civilian market.
August 13, 20232 yr Author #4 Thanks for your feedback @RWW @earlymb Now I know a little more about these jackets and there label's. Unfortunately I still don't know when this jacket is made(year) but if I look around on Google, it's probably in the 1993/1997 ..
September 24, 20232 yr #5 I would bet mid-1990's. They were everywhere then at a reasonable price compared to originals.
September 25, 20232 yr #6 1990s commercial item. They were made to "military spec" and Alpha had numerous real military contracts at the time, but this jacket was made for the civilian market. Also unrelated, but I live in Knoxville and drive by Alpha's warehouse multiple times a week.
