Yes, I collect KW big brass too! Here is MG (later GEN) Henry Hodes' TW shirt. Hodes commanded the 24th ID in action in Korea. Note the location of his nametape and the lack of a U.S. Army tape. From photos I have seen, this is typical of the late KW era. The Army adopted double tapes by the mid '50's Army wide. The metal stars have an odd staple-like attachment -- I assume they are Korean made.

shrapneldude has posted an M43 jacket with this kind of nametag placement: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=14421

I only have two Korean War era uniforms.

The first is a 1st Cav Specialist.

Uniform is named to Lawrence J Eck, 55439611

Grouping contains M-1950 Ike, Trousers and Belt

I have not done any research on him yet.

Here is a KW USMC Dress Blue coat worn by a vet who served with VMJ-1,MAG-33,1ST MAW. This was part of a display that I did to celebrate the Marine's Birthday in 2002.

Do you know the name of this Marine by chance?

As a Brigadier in Nov/Dec 1950, Henry I. Hodes was MG Barr's Assistant Commander of the 7th Infantry Division. He played a pivotal role in the action on the east side of the Chosin Reservoir where the 31st RCT bravely fought, and was eventually almost annihalated by, some 2 Divisions of Chinese troops.

We have, on display here in our office, the helmet of Gen Van Fleet. It has his stars painted on it along with varios unit SSIs.

It came to us directly from the family, with whom we have been working for years related to the General's son who is one of the unaccounted for from the Korean War.

I know I've shown this one before, but I think its worth displaying again!
