I collect USMC patches in passing, so others will definitely know a heck of a lot more about it, but that looks like the scarcer full gold border edge variation. I have several felt and fully embroidered cut edge "red border" (common type) 5th MARDIV patches, but only one of the full gold border...it is roughly 1/2 inch wider than the standard patch. Good to see its use as a standard shoulder patch.
