January 18, 201115 yr #1 I will post this group as time permits. I found this group in a local antique shop being readied to be split apart and sold piecemeal. - Long story short, I now own it and will be listing it for sale ASAP. Again, will post more as time permits. I interviewed Mr. Vegso and he completed 11 bombing missions. His A2 and uniforms were lost long ago to the ravages of a New England Basement.

January 18, 201115 yr Author #19 Plexiglass windshield from B-24 that Vegso flew in to get his four hours/month to draw flight pay. They were horsing around, went into a steepdive and almost could not pull out. The stress induced on the windshield when the nose started to rise fractured the windshield. The stunt proved to be a near fatal joke on the crew. Per interview with Vegso when asked where the glass came from.
