December 23, 201015 yr #1 These, along with some miscellaneous other small items not shown, belonged to the father of a good friend of mine. I volunteered to research everything for him---not that my arm had to be twisted anyway. The framed print includes the DUI of the 96th (It is Always the Hour) plus the insignia of the 337th, 338th, 339th and 413th squadrons that made up the group. The other framed set is fairly self explanitory, but I have questions related to several of the items. I am going to post all of the wings on the wing badges forum and the ribbons on the medals and decorations forum to get some help with answers. None of the four medals are named. The airman's name is Harry Lester Bauge. He is deceased. My friend has no other information about his fathers time in the USAAF. No ASN, no DD214/discharge papers, no dog tags, no rank insignia, no memory of discussions with his father---nothing at all. It's obvious that many parts are missing----medals, ribbons, etc. for his time in the ETO that you think would have been included with what I have here. I don't know how to look up his name in the archives, so, if someone out there could tell me how or do it for me with the limited info that I have, I would be much oblidged. Many thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas.

December 23, 201015 yr Author #4 are those foriegn made ribbons? Thanks for the quick reply. I believe so. They are 1/2" with oversized devices, but I am not a student of ribbon origination. See attached. Thanks again, Al Hirschler in Dallas.

December 24, 201015 yr Author #7 ...and w/ his ASN, you can send away for Bauge's record. Thank you Andy. Is his ASN the 8 diget # at the top of the enlistment info? I've never done that search before. Is there a link to the process? Thanks again, Al Hirschler in Dallas.
December 27, 201015 yr Author #8 Thank you Andy. Is his ASN the 8 diget # at the top of the enlistment info? I've never done that search before. Is there a link to the process? Thanks again, Al Hirschler in Dallas. Here is one of the miscellaneous items that came with this group. Could it be a metal attachment to a wristwatch band? Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas.
