I have a question concerning the American Defnse Service Medal/ribbon attachments. If a vet served in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets prior to WW2 and then present at Pearl Harbor, would the ribbon have one star plus letter A for service in both fleets in addition to the star for Pearl Harbor? In other words---two stars plus the letter A or would it be proper to only wear one fleet tour attachment?

You only got one clasp either fleet or base. Also only one devise was authorised on the service ribbon, youcouldwear the A or the star but not both.
