How many American battery manufacturers produced the flashlight batteries during WWII? I know six, did I miss anything?

 

● Bright Star Battery Co. (battery brand "Bright Star")

● Burgess Battery Company (battery brand "Burgess Uni-Cel)

● National Carbon Company, Inc. (battery brand "Eveready")

● Ray-O-Vac Company (battery brand "Ray-O-Vac")

● U.S. Electric Mfg. Corp. (battery brand "USA Lite")

● Winchester Repeating Arms Co. (battery brand "Winchester")

1945 ad with military style copywriting and symbology.

1943 ad where copywriter assures "war-priority".

Found these in a local antique store. No corrosion and Dec.'43 dated.

Here is a list from 1943.....collect them all!

Found this one in what might be called one of the first portable "transistor radios" by RCA. I like the fact old batteries were made differently and do not turn to leaking, chemical time-bombs in your flashlight (or anything else they are used in).

No BA-42 batteries are C cell batteries.  I’m not sure if appropriate in WwII but AA batteries are BA-3058. Regards
