August 15, 201015 yr #26 Frank. So then we naw have and original camillus non dated blade marked naw measuring gaurd to false edge nearly 4 inches.(Amended picture on franks site)Sorry i dont buy that 4 inches nearly,no way but thats my opinion. Please show me one with rule in a pic. Ronnie.Im not sure what your pointing out so please forgive me if im wrong. I think its this as follows, Yes fakers go on these sites and look at the points being pointed out and updates fakes accordinly or tottaly remake a knife with the points mentioned ironed out.Which would not be hard to do.You only have to chat to nazi dagger collectors to sum that up. kindest regards dave c Dave all I'm pointing out is that I know a guy that is so stupid, so bogus and such a freakin crook, that he ruined a dozen or more really nice reproduction or newly made Camillus M3 trench knives by adding a pin that when added, placed the pins off center. Anyone with any knowledge of the Camillus original M3's would know it had been tampered with. I cannot begin to tell you the horror stories of the surplus this knucklehead has ruined. Bottom line is I really don't get it. He had a great business at one time but has cheated so many people he has shot himself in the foot. I go to estate sales, yard sales, gun shows, and word of mouth looking for war trophies and souveniers to put on a table to try and sell to finance my collecting hobby. I have been pretty successful at it and I haven't had to lie to anyone or sell something that is bogus as original just to make a sale...so not trying to be noble here but just don't really get it.
