I need your help. Thanks ! A. Hi Andrei, it is a USN carrying case for a signal tripod, there is a box shaped padded carrying case for the signalling device. I think there are actual D-day or just post D-day photo's of Navy guys on the beaches using this set up. Try typing the details you have on the case into the search engine here on the forum, I am sure there was a topic on this in the last two years. Cheers Lewis
