December 21, 200916 yr #2 Fred- This WW1 unit patch was made in the 1940’s for the collector market and sold by companies such as Patch King and Hobby Guild. These companies sold reproductions of many different WW1 (and WW2) units. Kurt

Thompson, he(it) is referenced as patch " Complete Guide to United States Marine Corps. For more than 5 years I looked for him(it) now that I found him(it), I see that I have courru after a fancy. Not grave I did not pay him(it) a big fortune. fred
December 22, 200916 yr #4 I still like and collect the Patch King made for collector WWI patches. These were period made patches and would have been found in many WW2 era collections.
