Hello folks,

 

A few weeks ago a monument for LTC Robert G. Cole (101st Airborne) was founded nearby the town of Best in Holland. LTC Cole was awarded a MOH for leading an attack on one of the bridges near Carentan, Normandy.

Shortly after his drop by the town of Best and Son during Market Garden, LTC Cole wanted to place some beacons for airsupport in a meadow. Sadly his was shot in the head while doing this.
