Featured Replies

How can you tell the age of an army stretcher? Is there a difference between the ones used in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam?

I believe the WW2 ones have ribbed aluminum supports, while later ones have painted steel supports without ribs...

This will be of some help

Here is some stretcher legs, I found 2-3 years ago at a scrap iron shop. A friend of mine sand blasted them for me.

The one I have is dated 1944 in small almost indiscernible numbers near the stretcher legs on the underside of the canvas.
