July 15, 200917 yr #1 This chin strap was a recent find. I know the chinstraps for the WW2 Airborne helmets, WW2 flight helmets, and the WW2 US Navy talker helmets are all somewhat similar to the unknowing (that'd be me in that category!). I also am aware that fakes sometimes use the flight and talker helmet ones to fake up Airborne helmets. So... which chinstrap do I have here? Can anyone tell me?? Thanks! MW
July 15, 200917 yr #4 looks just like the chinstraps used on Navy Talker helmets? same color , thickness, stitching, but missing the adjustment buckles.
July 15, 200917 yr #5 It's an ex-Navy Talker Helmet chinstrap/chincup that has been altered into a pretend Paratrooper chincup. Not good any more either way... Cheers, Glen.

Ah, OK then, thanks! It came from the estate of a former Airborne soldier who had picked up a fair amount of newer made stuff like that, reproed to look like WW2 made stuff. Thanks again! MW
