I just bought this saber and wonder what this stamp on the ricasso means. I've got an awful feeling that this is a reproduction. Thanks for your help

That's an inspectors stamp. Nothing wrong with it.

It's an eagle head, poorly stamped, but you see these. what is the date? Scabbard?

That mark is very interesting. It's the same eagle mark that Winchester used on the US Model 1917 bayonet. I don't collect swords, but that mark is not used on any other US bayonet.
