Friday at 01:36 PM4 days #1 Here's a infamous copy helmet that which has to date, literally sold alot of on the infamous auction site. The MBU 12 is not fake. The unique feature is that the maker appears to have copied a size medium HGU 22 quarter shell based helmet for his build instead of - like much of the available field of fake helmets, and these dimensions are very close. Installing the HGU/APH edge roll on it certainly proved that assumption. Decal installation was wrong but, what can you say, it's close enough.... Things that will enhance this specific shell if you decide to opt in and save 1000.00+ spent for a "real deal" copy to set on your mantel and look at. 1-I had the used, spare leather "snap in" edge roll laying about and decided to remove the rubber edge bead (risky at first) and install in its place. 2-Then I installed a good set of O2 receivers, 3-a good visor, 4- black chin and nape straps, 5-black leather HGU ear cups and completed it with comms. I don't know if Toms helmet had the plastic ear cups or leather and I don't imagine that it matters. Still need to install a styrene liner and TPL or get lucky and find a black percentile liner and I'll be done. All in all,...me like it! ;-) These still pop up now and again and if your into tinkering with "stuff", this product of fantasy might provided some good entertainment. Although it's a fake copy from China, with certain parts enhancements, it can be made really nice and at home collecting dust and loosing value with the rest of those inanimate ornaments of hollyweird history,...and cheap!. This will be my last transmission on this website. Cheers and good luck to all
