I found this recently at the local antique fair. Handle is made from wood and either bone or ivory, it does have a maker's mark which I hope can help identify it.  I believe it revolutionary war era but I defer to the experts for an I.D.  It does appear to have a British style cross guard from what I have found searching the interweb. I appreciate any help.  Brad
