Hi collectors. 
I recently purchased a ww2 US invasion armband in nice unissued condition. 
I know they came in different types, oilcloth, paper-like, ones that attached by pins and others that were sewn on. My one is quite stiff, but flexible, kinda like wallpaper. Also has nice patina, and of the pin fastening type, I think it was a type 3? Is it an oilcloth version?

 

So I Thought I might put up a bunch of photos for you to have a look and give your expert opinion on the authenticity and type. 👍🏻😁

I’m no expert, far from it. I did go to the Hazy Smithsonian museum recently and took a few photos of one.  I have no clue if there were different makers of these. This one has more rounded edges in the red lines of the flag. I’m hoping to learn more from this thread.

My armband came with an Operation Frantic Russian Chit, phrase / ID card in a (neck hanger) plastic Purse. Have you seen any that bled some print as mine apparently did? Material is that lightly textured "wall paper" substrate, similar to a slightly thinner oil cloth. It also appeared to slightly yellow with age and / or storage.

Great pics man. Well it looks consistent with the cracking like mine. But the texture isn’t the same by the looks. I know there were different types and I’m trying to find if this was a type or not. Yours looks more material than mine, my one looks papery, which was also a type. So maybe yours is the oilcloth type.
