Just a quick introduction, as this will be my first post.  I started collecting militaria and C&R firearms back when I was 13.  A loooong time ago.  What a journey it has been.  I was extremely lucky to have had the time and money to visit some amazing battlefields including The Somme, Guadalcanal, Moscow, Anzio, Bataan and Peleliu.  Recently I have gotten back into collecting after raising my kids.  I was looking for some Garand bandoliers recently, what I found was its hard to find a real WWII version, and there is not a whole lot of info out there.  Thankfully I found a lot(10) for sale so i jumped in and I have way more than I bargained for.  The posts I found on this board were very helpful but some were quite old.  Turns out these were not Garand but Springfield bandoliers but are basically the same size.  A lot of the dates are not clear but some were.  I do have brown bandolier which seems to be an outlier but hopefully someone has seen before.  I think this will answer a question from an older thread from mikewilde90 .

I recently sold 5 of the WW2 era bandoleers. The WW1  dated can be harder to find and may still have a couple. Also had a couple with the 30-40 Krag ammo in. Have one WW2 with enblocs I have kept fro, the DM ordnance plant with 43 dated ammo. ALso have one or two with 1938 dated ammo and recall is National match. Finding the bandoliers void of the post war repack markings is also getting hard to source or dont see them here to often but will find a couple in footlocker groups from time to time.

Thanks for the response Doyler.  It's also hard to get a handle on price, as I have seen them all over the place.  This batch I bought was $100 for ten.  I have seen the WWII version go for $45 each(old listing in 1944 militaria) , that is, if you can find them.  I found one store in NC that has the Vietnam version for 5 but that probably wont last long.  Back in the old days, i remember getting 2 M1 carbine clips and the pouch for like 15-20 bucks, now 150 or more.
