The ticket shows a departure from a union station, which could have been located in any number of cities; it does not show a destination, as far as I can tell.

Ok thanks for the update. Always associate Union Station with DC. Just like there is only one Grand Central. But southern pacific did not have a route into DC.

Here is some information I located for him. Be advised that US Army WWII morning reports at NARA only go up to Dec 44 at present. His obituary indicates that he spent time in the ETO, Germany specifically.

Be advised that my statement about morning reports at NARA being available only up to Dec 44 at present, only refers to these documents being available online.
