May 25May 25 #2 Hello Big: Nice revolver. I would also use collector shorthand and call it a pre-Victory. I encourage you to get a letter from the S&W Historical Foundation. In the meantime, from the Victory Model Database I can tell you that your revolver likely shipped in the April-May, 1942 time frame. It shipped to a defense contractor in the aviation industry. June 14Jun 14 #6 I was in Coast Guard “A” school in 1989. Everyday we students had to do a pyro locker and armory inventory. I think we had about 30 of these in the small arms locker, all WWII issue.
