May 18May 18 #4 Nice catch. The WW1 canteen without a date/maker mark shows it was made pre-1918. Most likely 1917 or 1916. The British Made canteen cover looks to have a date of 1943 which makes very uncommon as the great majority of British Made canteen covers were made in 1944. A look on Ebay or any militaria site where British Made covers are sold will almost always show 1944 only. There were made late 43 to early 45. CG

Pic file was probably opening slowly 👍

May 23May 23 #10 As stated above, nice British Made cover, 1943 saw the production of the RLL kit ramping up. The Maker is P.S.S. (Princess Silk Shades). They also made covers amongst other items in 1944/5 as well. They only made 10,000 of these in 1943. Carl
