Does anyone have any good ways to repair it or should I just get a modern one to use ?

I have found using Seam Grip works well for things like that. A lot depends on how much of a repair you have to make. Do you have a few pin holes, or do you need to reglue one of the side seams?

Reglue the seams is what I need to do

Seam Grip should work well for that; it stays flexible after it dries. Depending on how much of the seam you have to reseal, you may consider doing it in a couple of sections. Spread a light coat Seam Grip on then clamp or weight it overnight. I use binder clips and either popsicle sticks or pieces of flat metal to distribute the clampin pressure.

Good luck with the repair!
