In the 90s my dad took me to a local Air Show and they had this knife and sheath for sale. I don't remember what my Dad paid for it, but I'm thinking it was around $40. I started doing some research online and couldn't find much about this unique sheath. I believe the knife is from the 1960s or '70s, and hopefully not a reproduction. Does anybody have any knowledge about this?

Looks like something for a helicopter like part of the SAR board as we called it in the Coast Guard

The knife falls into 1974 - 1989, never seen that sheath set up. 

I believe the 32460 number is the CAGE code for the contractor. 32460 is MIL-STD Corp. of Glenn Cove NY. I have never seen that sheath before; it might be something unrelated that got matched up with the knife, it has sort of a tool pouch look to it. The knife itself looks fine, a standard post-Vietnam Mk. 2 knife made by Camillus. I will be interested to see if it is identified by the experts here, I could not find anything like it on the internet.

Thanks! That is a lot more info then I could find. I also remembered that the sheath came with this crimper / multi tool.
