Couple months back my girlfriend and I went to a Thrift store and I found not one but TWO Gems for a $20 bill! LCS-86 Patrol pack, and an Olive Drab Center Seam! I nearly had a heart attack when I saw both next to one another.

Can you expand on the subject a little more?  Knowledge is power and if I see one of these in the wild I would like to know value and time period.  Must be good stuff you seem excited!!

So The LCS-86 Patrol pack was made by Lowe alpine in the 80's to pair with their Rucksack (Prototype of the CFP-90) As well as their LBV-86 which had two Alice style Quick release tabs on the shoulders to pair with this pack, i think it's worth around $200 or so? And the OD Green Center seam was made around 1965ish, and is one of the rarer variants compared to the generic ERDL Center seams, don't know much else at the moment, I believe this is worth around $300 on average.

Right?? I saw it rolled up and initially brushed it off as a repro but then decided to examine it further, as soon as I saw the center seal I knew I had to get it, the LCS-86 Pack was the nail in the coffin for that trip, no regrets.

It's weird to think such a generic piece of USGI equipment could become so valuable, especially something from the 60's. Heck even excellent to mint camo poncho liners from the era probably fetch $150+. I'd bet if a Civil War soldier could see what a really nice cartridge box fetches these days, they'd faint.
