Hello everyone, I have a question. Was this model made by Berkshire during World War II? I've looked around a bit, but haven't found any clear confirmation. It seems they were still widely available during the Korean War and the 1950s. Good quality, and I find the khaki/tan color appealing. I've always had a soft spot for Pacific/tropical gear. I assume the tan color was made for that region. Thanks for looking.

In its current configuration it must be WWII because the eagle’s direction was changed in 1941 right before our entry into the war. That doesn’t mean the hat (structure) itself was originally sold in WWII though. I need to check some books about the supplier.

Yes, I'm aware of that. The Navy has so many colors and types of uniforms. Rank is also a factor, of course. But that doesn't change the fact that Khaki/Tan makes me think of the Pacific and tropical environments. My feeling, even if it's for all theaters. But then we're straying from the original topic.
