Good Day,

I went to a small county military museum and enjoyed the displays and history they documented. However, one display caught my eye. On the wall was a five (5) 20 round Thompson magazine pouch for either the 1928's, M1 or M1A1s.

 

The construction is not what I'm familiar with for a US made example that have a more coarse weave to the fabric.

 

Could this be a British manufactured example? I was able to maneuver the camera and their doesn't appear to be markings on the back.

Thank you for the vector to the origins of the pouch.  I searched and found your other examples of Ausralian manufactured Thompson pouches.  Hopefully the one in the museum has AUSTRALIA on the back of the "lift-the-dots" like yours.

After reaching out to the docet for the Oconee Military Museum in Walhalla SC, they confirmed the Thompson pounsh was Australian manufacturer. One of the lift-the-dot fastener's was marked:

 

     CARR FASTENER

 

     AUSTRALIA

I don't think so. They look too small.

I highly suspect these are misidentified Australian manufactured Reising magazine pouches rather than made specifically for Thompson magazines.
