December 7, 2025Dec 7 #9 You have a great project. Done right, it will be all the talk. I have a 16"/50 refurbed, 1550 lbs inert. I store it at the local museum. If you need tips, ( like moving it around, lifting, painting, stencils, etc) message me.

December 9, 2025Dec 9 #12 As the OP rounds had been fired based on the grooved driving bands, did they have an internal charge in them of were they "solid shot" ? (and as a side note, are you sure they are safe?)

December 10, 2025Dec 10 Author #14 Turns out they are 14 and 12 inch… I’ve been told by more experienced and knowledgeable collectors, these are solid rounds fired into the Delaware Bay..no charge…🤷♂️…

They pulled a deck piercing round out of the water when they were extending the wharf in the 90's. We left the remains of it there for them and it's on display. It was loaded with Explosive D and a base fuze.
