Vintage 13th BS Cap with Caterpillar Club Pin

This cap was acquired with both pins attached to it.  There are no markings on either piece.  Could the caterpillar pin have simply been purchased from a BX vender booth?

I do not think the pins were BX at all. No idea but nice. If you decide to sell let me know I collect 13th BS Vietnam era items,

Thanks a lot for your input.  It’s seemingly difficult to locate another unmarked Irving style caterpillar pin of similar quality.

I have not seen a pin exactly like that one. The US made ones are usually marked, and the UK made ones are generally engraved.

Any chance of a photo of the back of the cap?

Thanks for the additional info.  I looked through the threads earlier and can see exactly what you are saying.  I'm half wondering if the pin (with the non-painted eyes) might actually pre-date the Vietnam War.  The 13th BS flew B-26 bombers during the Korean War.
