October 13, 2025Oct 13 #1 Afternoon all! Need to snag a few [3-4] table-top display cases, and looking for recommendations, apologies that I'm kinda last minute. Just got the greenlight fot an event in about 3wks. Looking for a width of around 24" give or take a few on the wider end, don't really care about height as much. Just as long as the interior material is archival safe, doesn't off-gas etc... Prefer if they have either key locks or loops for a small padlock. Thx in advance!
October 13, 2025Oct 13 #2 These are kind of the industry standard at shows and such. Now, "archival safe?" maybe not, but for a short term event, not sure- and if you are outside these things do heat up and condensation can form. If you were closer I would let you borrow some of mine. There will be a constant flow of patrons and staff circulating, but I agree I'd still want to drill them for cable locks...
October 13, 2025Oct 13 #4 Just as a funny note- one time at a local WI show, a friend of mine was displaying part of his PH collection, in some of those cases. But he left the key in the lock of one and went to the can, so I quickly made up a sign; "SELLING COLLECTION: $5 EACH" and put it in there and locked the cases up and kept the key. He had a line of guys waiting when he got back to explain to, and wasn't too happy with me, but he never left a case unlocked again! 😄
